“I did my first competition in November 2013 and it was something I had been wanting to do for quite some time. Being a trainer my self, I knew finding the right comp-prep coach was the most important thing, and I did not want to rush into anything without finding someone I could trust. I knew that once I committed, I’d give my 100% into whatever my coach put in front of me and I didn’t want to risk realising half way I’d committed to someone that would have me doing things I knew would risk any form of metabolic damage or other issues. For me, the most important thing was to go though the process as healthily as possible – I wanted to enjoy the journey and grow from it – not break down from it! I got to know Mirella while she was preparing for her show and knowing her philosophy as a trainer and dedication to her own goals – I just knew she would be the right person for me. From day 1 I trusted her and I did not get disappointed. I felt great throughout most part of my prep and I know she was always there in the background to listen and take into account any issues I may have. I also did my show in London which is where she was based, so having her there as a support leading up to the competition and on the day was for me (being my first show), incredibly valuable! I would not feel comfortable doing any future competitions with anyone other than her, so if you are thinking about competing I could not recommend anyone else higher!”
